What is SCM?

An important objective of SCM is to present the latest insights into chronic kidney disease care. Participants will learn about new and evolving concepts related to kidney disease through a carefully designed combination of interesting courses, practical workshops, thought-provoking symposia and insightful debates incorporating the latest developments in clinical nephrology.

General Meeting FAQ

What are the dates of SCM23?

SCM23 will take place April 11-15, 2022 in Austin, TX. SCM On-Demand will be available with on-demand recorded content.

Is there a mobile app available for SCM23?

Yes, there will be an announcement once the app is updated and launched. 

What is included in SCM On-Demand Only Registration?

SCM On-Demand features access to recordings of all SCM23 general sessions and corporate symposia, to be available 48 hours after the live presentation has occurred. SCM On-Demand will also feature exclusive content not available during the live meeting, and access to the virtual poster gallery. In-Person event attendance, pre-conference courses, workshops, and networking events are not included in the SCM On-Demand Access Only registration option.

Can I access SCM23 sessions after the conference?

Most SCM23 content will be available within 48 hours of the completion of the live session and available on-demand. Pre-conference courses and workshops will not be available on-demand. All registered attendees will receive credit for attending the live conference sessions April 11-15 or viewing sessions on-demand.

What internet browser should I be using to access the on demand sessions?

The meeting platform works best on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Internet Explorer is not supported.

Are there handouts available for the sessions?

Presentations are available within each session in CaseHippo and through the SCM mobile app (based on approval from the speakers). When attending a session, handouts can be found within the attachments tab on the right side of your screen.

Can I attend any session that I want?

You are welcome to attend any session on any program track, however sessions not listed on your program track are not approved through your disciplines’ accrediting agency.

How can I tell if a session is accredited to my discipline?

Sessions available for CE/CME are tagged with a green designation on the conference program. When viewing the session information, you can view the amount of credits/contact hours available, as well as the relevant program tracks.

How do I complete my evaluations?

Evaluations are available this year within CaseHippo and the SCM23 mobile app. Each session evaluation becomes available when the session is live and can be completed by clicking the "eval" button.

 

NEW THIS YEAR! Select the heart icon within a session to "favorite" and add to your itinerary for easy access to session evaluations during and after the meeting.

How do I track my credits and get my certificate?

Criteria for successful completion includes attendance at one or more sessions, which will automatically be verified within the conference platform, and completing the session evaluation. Partial credits/contact hours will be awarded based on the number of sessions attended. Certificates will be available after the conclusion of the conference (on April 15) through the virtual meeting platform. You can view track your attendance and credits by logging into CaseHippo and selecting the “Certificates” tab.

What ground transportation options are available?

Ground transportation options will be posted in 2023. 

Are any meals included with my in-person registration?

In-Person Registration includes:

  • 2 breakfasts
  • 1 lunch
  • 2 networking receptions.
